Centre Step Quilled Flower Card

This time, i tried to make a simple centre step card. MS scoreboard is much helpful for scoring. Added MS double arches punch at the side panels and at the centre used a oval diecut and inside it made parallel lattice with thin strips of paper. And to decorate it added few quilled flowers and embellished it with a butterfly. First time used a mini wooden stamp sentiment which has been with me for ages. Foam flowers are added on sides of sentiment.

Paper Quilted Diwali Card (50th post :))

Made this simple Quilt card with tile punch and rosette with border punch. Hand drawn Diya and placed centrally on the rosette with adhesive backing. Added pink and golden pearls on to the tile punches, corners of card and few rhinestones on the diya.

For any crafter, rejection of any projects for challenges, hurts much, as we all craft for PASSION.
My earlier ICRC 22 project failed because of my mistake of linking more than 5 projects to it, though i do it exclusively for ICRC.
Now learnt a lesson of checking out rules before participating on any challenges 🙂

A Very Happy Diwali greetings to all visitors and  blogger pals across the world. May this Diwali brings lots of happiness, prosperity to you and your family.

Hope you like my Project and of course special to me being my 50th post!!

Quilled Earring & Card

Quilled Earring…..Definitely not best yet being first attempt, bit close to heart….

After 17 years, i happened to meet my family friend very recently who is an ardent lover of arts and crafts. After being attended the first Emirates Quilling Exhibition here in UAE to see my artworks last year, she waited for my arrival here to UAE…From the day, i met her she started asking me for quilled earrings…Atlast, i gained all my hope to do my first attempt of quilled earring. Hope she likes it!

I just wished to do a card and add this quilled element on it. As usual, simple attempt using my new quilling mold to make dome with 1.5 mm metallic quilling strips, added a bow and Voila….Card is ready!!

I have used PPA (Perfect Paper Adhesive, gloss) to make it water resistant and sturdy ie., as sealant and adhesive. This product is from Mrs. Honey Moser, Honey’s Quilling store, Malaysia. I am much convinced by her excellent explanation about this adhesive and so tried now. Its such a quick adhesive, dries super fast, first coating just soaks in and acts as sealant and the second coat makes as topcoat. Two types are available, such as PPA gloss and PPA matte. Mine is PPA gloss and the glossiness is not that clear in picture actually.

Hope you all like it!!!

My Supplies:

Corrugated CS, Ribbon, Brad – Taiwan

Explosion box and Miniature garden

Easy to guess from title…Yess…. i wish to quill a miniature garden in an explosion box. As the box is my first time try, i wanted to made it as simple one….
Few closer views
Made trellis with my MS layered arches punch. Climbers are made with floral wire which are covered with green floral tape. Leaves and flowers are from punches. Can you see that tiny one lying on grass…Oh yay…Quilled mushroom on several grass layers which are finely fringed ones from green cardstock. For fringing, i used Fiskars spring scissors, its really like a breeze if you are doing lots of fringing. The handle is made in such a way to ease the action and the spring used there gives such a comfort while fringing.
Butterflies are punched out. Decorated the lid with the tile punch and other punched out bits.
Hope you all like..
