The Flower Challenge#79 | Focus on Background Stamping | Reminder | Altenew

Hi Friends,

It’s time for the reminder post for the ongoing challenge at The Flower Challenge blog. The focus is on background stamping. So what are you waiting for? Take out all those teeny tiny small stamps and make a patterned paper look on the background of your card. Yeah that’s what exactly I did today.

Over to my card,

  • Took a sheet from White Neenah solar crest cardstock.
  • Stamped small floral bunches from Altenew Beautiful Day stamp set in an aesthetic way all over the sheet.
  • Colored these tiny stamps using Copic Ciao markers.
  • Matted over a lavender slimline card base using liquid adhesive .
  • Stamped sentiment from Altenew Sentiment stamp 2 using Altenew cube ink.
  • Die cut using Featured sentiments Die set and mounted as shown using foam squares.
  • Added few yellow enamel dots as accents.

The Flower Challenge #79| Focus on Background Stamping| Altenew

Hi Crafty friends, Am back with a new floral card for the challenge at The Flower Challenge Blog. This time, its Focus of floral background stamping.

Over to the card,

  • Used Altenew Dainty Bouquet solid stamps and with Desert Night cube ink, repeatedly stamped the florals on the background to get an appealing look.
  • Then diecut the panel using Ginamarie Scalloped edges.
  • Matted this panel over the Dark Navy blue A2 sized car base using liquid adhesive.
  • The sentiments from 2 different stamp sets from Altenew are stamped using Desert Night ink and diecut using Altenew’s Featured Sentiments die set and foam mounted as shown.

The Flower Challenge #78 Diecuts or Stencils | Reminder | Altenew+PFS

 Hi Friends,

It’s time for the floral card, a reminder for the ongoing challenge at The Flower Challenge blog.

Over to my card,


  • Stamped the Altenew Celebrate Us floral in Antique Linen DI onto Neenah classic crest cardstock.
  • Did Noline colouring using Altenew Artist markers.
  • Diecut the florals with co-ordinating dies.
  • Took a white focal panel, gave a warm glow using Scattered straw DI and splattered the areas with water for a mottled look and splashed with green watercolor paint.
  • Added the diecut floral using foam adhesives, which was splashed generously with white gouache and air dried.
  • Then added the diecut sentiment as well as the stamped sentiment from the same stamp set.
  • Notched the corners of focal panel to give a neat look.
  • Topped the panel over an A2 sized Olive green card base.
  • No embellishments were added so to keep the floral in focus.

Glimmer Foiled Watercolor card : Amazing Paper Grace + Spellbinders

 Hiya Friends,

Am here today with Weekly Wednesday post for Amazing Paper Grace using their Elegant glimmer plates and Die sets.

  • Took A2 sized Navy blue top fold cardbase.
  • Gold glimmer foiled the FanFare glimmer foil plate onto a watercolor cardstock.
  • Watercolored it with Jane davenport bright palette.
  • Glimmer resists the watercolors beautifully.
  • Glimmer foiled with Navy blue ribbon and added onto the watercolored focal panel as shown.
  • For the sentiment, Gold glimmer foiled and diecut, one of the the Heartfelt sentiments Hot foil plate and dies and watercolored it too.
  • Added the sentiment diecut to the panel.
  • Few baby blue pearls are added as accents.

  • Gold glimmer foiled the Diamonetta Glimmer hot foil plate onto a watercolor cardstock.
  • Watercolored it with Jane davenport bright palette.
  • Tied a ribbon, fussy cut the florals and mounted onto the focal panel as shown.
  • For the sentiment, Gold glimmer foiled and diecut, one of the the Heartfelt sentiments Hot foil plate and dies and watercolored it too.
  • Added the sentiment diecut to the panel.
  • Few baby pink pearls are added as accents.

Uniko :Guest Designer : ‘Tis the Season

 Hi Crafty Friends,

Am excited to guest design today at Uniko Studio .

Made a christmas themed Kraft card with Prisma pencil coloring. Added Diamond Twinklets for the much needed Sparkle. The colored image is a digital stamp whereas the sentiment is from Uniko’s christmas stampset.

If you are a regular visitor to my blog, by now you know I love pencil coloring and of course coloring on Kraft is my favorite go-to! And…Clicking umpteen pics of my projects is another favorite of mine!!

  • Printed digital stamp onto kraft cardstock, colored using Prisma colored pencils.
  • Diecut the colored cardstock using Spellbinders Elegant Twist Rectangle die.
  • Diecut another gold mirror cardstock with the same die and assemble as shown here.
  • Matted these panels over to the Maroon A2 sized top fold cardbase.
  • Stamped the sentiment from Uniko’s Most Wonderful clear stampset using Memento Black ink.
  • Then to the hand drawn snow, Added Prima Light paste and sprinkled Diamond Twinklets for the sparkly snow effect.
  • This finishes off my card.

Framed Roses : A Floral chipboard card

Hi Bloggy pals,

Am here today with a super simple card. Nothing much fancy things added and it takes jiffy to whip up this card.

  • Took Mudra’s Polaroid Love Frame chipboard and sponged them black with Mudra Jet black ink.
  • Took Mudra’s Roses Bouquet Chipzeb and colored using Alcohol markers.
  • Added the roses chipboard to the frame and tied a printed linen ribbon to it.
  • Took a watercolor paper panel, played with Brusho – Lime green to make the background.
  • Die-cut the lower portion of the panel with Mft dienamics – Small Bracket die .
  • Sentiment from IBS is stamped onto the vellum and added behind the focal panel using adhesive runner.
  • The polaroid frame is added to the panel using foam adhesive for a bit dimension.
  • Then this panel is added to the A2 sized black top fold card base.

Heading towards 2019 and i take up this moment to thank all the souls who took out time to like, comment on my projects over my blog here and in my other social media links.

First collage showcasing my Coloring interest 🙂

Next is my Favorite 9 projects in MixedMedia / Altered art. This includes Tag, Canvases, MDF, Layouts, Stryofoam, Grapevine wreath and Embroidery hoop

Final 9 projects showcase my Brush calligraphy and Tamil Lettering.

Hi Friends,

Made this card for Mudra as part of my DT projects.

  • On to a watercolor cardstock, Gold Heat embossed Butterfly from Beautiful Butterflies as focal element.
  • Sprinkled Brushos of 3 colors (Light brown, Cobalt blue, Emerald green) and sprinkled water using mini mister, around the butterfly.
  • I intended for tricolors but it left me with Rainbow colors!!
  • Heat set the pattern as and when at intervals.
  • Then colored the butterfly using Zig clean color brush pens.
  • Sentiment from Humming birds is stamped just below the butterfly.
  • Mounted this panel onto a black A2 sized card base to finish off the card.

Enjoy! – Mixed Media Tag

Hi Friends!

Today made a quick Mixed media tag to participate in few challenges in blogland.

Lets see the procedure.

  • Took TimHoltz largest Tag diecut in thick black cardstock.
  • White gessoed it. Then using Prima Crack stencil,applied Prima Modelling paste and when its dried, stenciled TH bubbles stencil.
  • Misted the tag with LSG – Azure sea asters, the on the edges with LSG -Opal sea oats.
  • Diecut a leaf from cuttlebug die, stenciled with TH burlap stencil and misted with LSG – Queen of Hearts Red spray.
  • Cheesecloth is misted with LSG- Sea mint green and Opal sea oats added along with drywall for added Textures, to the Tag and few Prima art stones and Prima Mulberry mica flakes are sprinkled around it.
  • The Misted leaf is UTEE clear embossed couple of times and added as focal element.
  • The edges of the tag are smooshed with versmark inkpad directly and heat embossed with Stampendous Vintage Rose Embossing enamel.
  • Prima Leaves are taken and distressed with Worn lipstick, Rusty hinge,Aged mahogany. Then finally UTEE clear heat embossed and added to the tag.
  • TH chitchat stickers word – Enjoy is matted with black cs and added to the Tag,
  • Few clear droplets are added as accents.
