Liebster and Versatile Blogger Awards

I am delighted to receive the Liebster award from Syaz – Known for her wonderful unique cards and Lulu – Known for her very beautiful quillings.
Though i received 2.5 months back, due to lack of time i couldnot post to thank them.
Thank You guys for leaving love for me…..

Very recently, i received this Versatile blogger award from Szalonaisa. She is known for her unique style of quilling and am much glad to receive her award.

The idea of both awards to pass it on to few other bloggers to spread  knowledge about the blog.

A Quilled Review….

End of the year and when i took trip down my memory lane, i was happy to see a “log phase” rather than a “lag phase” in my Quilling Life.

Regina, known for her quilling, origami and embroidery cards and above all for her very wonderful tutorials, has given a great idea to show our Top 10 projects in the year 2011.

I have listed my favorite 10 rather than calling it to be Top 10.
Hope you too will like it.

This is a quilled review of my past works based on all your inspirations and valuable comments…Expecting the same support from you all on forthcoming New year too.

Quilled Note:

I love to share the following youtube video with you all. I ultimately love for the music, lyrics, Alan Jackson’s voice and also the animated movie “UP” in which this music is played.

“Enjoy every turn of Life as it never returns”

My favorite blossoms….blooming after Spring season.
Last picture from my Taiwan home garden.

Wishing all my readers and blogger friends a Very Happy Creative New Year 2012!

 Taiwan: Must -see traveler’s delight!!!

A wonderful small island in Pacific ocean, where my newly wedded life began in a beautiful spring season…Its just like a dream…3 yr and 9months has gone so fast….

I have been appearing and disappearing for sometime in FB and not participating in any blog challenges as of now….Yah….reason for all that is my current relocation from Taiwan….

I am known to many as a Pet addict and an obssessed gardener rather than a crafter…
I have got this gene transfer from  my Mom likely….since she is such an obssessed gardener. Every leisure time will be ultimately dedicated to garden…

Really am feeling too hard to leave my beautiful small garden here in Taiwan home now..I have plants of all four seasons in my garden and they give out flowers daily…For the past 2 weeks, only few flowers…i hope by now they knew that am leaving ….They are the close knitted souls of mine…to them
i share all my secret wishes, happiness and sorrows…

Glimpse of My Garden pics…

For the past one week, am restricting myself from quilling and dedicating my time to packing, cleaning home, disposing things and posting things to India and so on…

Yet, i can’t give up a thing which has become my obsession….So at last…come up with this.

Probably my last quilling of this year 2011…There are many surprises and lovely moments to cherish this year….

A magic called “Quilling” touched me and found my true happiness from that.
Created FB account and joined EQG and happened to get in touch with all quilling souls.
Created my craft blog which is a long awaited desire of mine and happened to be a part of this beautiful blogosphere.
Participated in First Paper Quilling Exhibition in Emirates.

Thanks to all friends and quillers for inspiring me… All your comments means a lot to me in improvising my skill level..

A Specials thanks to Noor Nahdi of Paperie Designs Studio for featuring me in her blog in Fascinating Fridays under the caption Sathya’s Sparkling Start…I really feel very honored by the way she featured me…Thanks to Amna Al Fardh once again for her generous heart.

Another Special thanks to Wendy and DTs of Paper Crafting Journey for a brand new Special Mention Badge for this post, which has also won Pritesh’s Heart Stealer Design Badge.

I strongly believe that…Whatever happens in Life is for a reason…
Every deed/thing is interconnected and Everything happens for a good cause….

So true in my case too…..Every quilling soul like me…would have dreamt to be in a “Place” particularly on Nov 22nd-24th…They would have been seated before PC for a constant updation in FB and was surprised to see the comments pouring out like anything from all corners of the world irrespective of different time zones……

Yaaaaaaah…..You got it right. I am relocating to UAE!!!!!!!!!!!
From a place of 0% quilling supplies to a Quilling world of talented quillers…..

Wishing all my blogger friends and visitors, a Wonderful Christmas and a Blessed New Year 2012….

Happy Quilling!!!!!!!

P.S. Will be in hibernation for a (loooooooong) while and will soon try to post from my new home!!!!

Quilled Thanks….

Quilled Mobile

First time tried doing quilled mobile…I got the inspiration from Inez Quilling Art (in FB) and from that i took the basic idea to draw my turn. I have used thermacol (polystrene) balls of 5 different sizes and made my quilled mobile hanger. 3mm wide strips are used to make major tight coils and few tear drops.

To the second ball,in the centre i have added a corrugated paper and on it pasted a purple flowery lace and to last ball, i have added a brown bead to give a finishing look. To mask the top knot on the first ball, the flower shaped wood piece (dont know what its called) has been added. Since it looks plain, i pasted a punched flower on it. Though i wanted to make a long row of balls and some five such things to make a big hanger, due to bit busy days, i stopped with just this. You can try making with stryofoam balls instead of thermacol balls.

Hope this work will inpsire you all to make one for you.
