Layered Vintage Card :)

DT inspiration card for Cardabilities here! Very fond of inks these days and tried to create layered vintage bg for this card.

Here we go,

Sketch for this challenge

Watercolor cs is taken and built the layers from scratch, using various DIs – Aged Mahogany, Scattered straw, Vintage Photo. Adequately misting and drying every layer before adding each layer of inks. Then the edges are roughed and rolled at diagonal corners of the card.

Heidi Swapp Script stamp (new in my stash) is randomly stamped, and its shown vaguely at few places only as its been lost in misting and ink layerings.

Took heart diecuts in Red CS and distressed its edges in black soot DI. The CLD medium rose diecuts are distressed with aged mahogany and pearl centered. And Spellbinders foliage leave diecuts are distressed with evergreen bough and aged mahogany, misted and shaped.

Diagonally, Kaisercraft Heisian stamp(new in my stash) is stamped using Vintage photo DI for the extra textured look for the card.

Sentiment is from IBS Everyday Sentiment stampset which is selectively stamped using Ranger Archival ink and the banner edges are distressed using Vintage Photo DI. And random splashes of Black soot inks as the finishing touch!

This front panel is then matted in a black CS which is then on a white base CS.Few black rhinestones are added as accents on heart diecut.

Hope you like the overall look of the card!

Supplies:

CS- Fabriano CS
Inks- DIs- Vintage photo, Aged Mahogany,Scattered straw, Black soot, Evergreen bough
Stamp – heidi Swap script stamp, IBS everyday greetings, Kaisercraft Heisian stamp
Dies – CLD medium rose, Spellbinders foliage die, Itsy Bitsy heart thinlits

You are Lovely :)

Made a simple card today with combination which i always in love with and used only Cheerylynn dies to make. When it comes to patterned paper use, its hard for me to put scissors on it. Rather am hoarding a whole lot of pps which had been lying in stash for several months now.

Now on to my card,

Took kraft A2 cs from Recollections stack and used for the base of the card. On it, used pp from Homemade memories 12/12 stack and as a focal element placed a diecut from Zephyr paper pad. Stamped sentiment from IBS sweet valentine set using my new Sepia Ranger’s Archival ink. Added few pearls and heart pearls as accents.

Blooms are made using the DCWV pastel cs. Big roses are made using CheeryLynnDesigns gardenia strip and small roses using CLD medium roses, baby breaths are from CLD embellishment die 3, the foliage are made using CLD olive branches, CLD rose leaf strip.

CLD tiffany border strips are kept below the florals and a pink double stich grossgrain ribbon, added few pearls. Hope you like it!

Hey Hi!

A quick post today as my son gone for a dance practice for tomorrow’s Tiny Tot’s Day in school, had ample 6 hours to finish a DT post and this card today 🙂

This card is much inspired by very many things…

First the quote which comes in IBS Butterfly wings stamp set, which was a challenge win at IBS 🙂
Love the stamp set for the different butterflies and for the quotes.

Second which caught my eye …was this Inspiration pic which is my screensaver in my lappy for a long time.

And last…those sunset colors and the images of it.

I wanted to try those colors and wanted to make a card and so this dare attempt from my end,
Now…you should say…how it looks?

Took a 5×5 white CS and started building the colors from scattered straw, rusty hinge, aged mahogany, vintage photo and black soot DIs. I enjoyed the process being so inky 🙂

I stamped those wild flowers, grasses and wheat stalk from Meadows stampset and the stamped the sentiment in versamark and white heat embossed.

And stamped the butterfly near the wheat stalk and just drawn the legs alone, as if its grabbing it.

Hope you like it! Do leave comments, as it means a lot to me 🙂

Love Birds Card :)

Love is in air…..

Valentine day is nearing and the challenges at very many blog demands Love themed cards 🙂

And so my attempt making a Love themed one with various diecuts and use of dark shades. Hope you like it!!

Here we go,

The red CS front panel is a diecut from my new Spellbinder die – A2 Divine Eloquence and this has been matted on base White and Black CS. And on it Cheerylynn French pastry doily in black is kept as a base for the white caged birds diecut.

Hope it goes so well with the theme Love, as they look each other and to emphasize even more, added heart rhinestones on each bird and the point of their meet, added a wood veener heart which is sponged with Worn lipstick DI.

The floral spray is made using the new cheerylynn die in my stash…Those cabagge roses and single petal blooms are made using CLD Medium rose, which are sponged with Worn lipstick DI and the leaves are from Ivy florishes, which again are sponged with Bundled sage DI. Both leaves and flowers are sponged and shaped. The Memory box die hanging hearts are also my new addition to my craft stash, to which added pearls hearts at centre.

The IBS sentiment is stamped on the banner die of the Spellbinders A2 Divine Eloquence and

Winter Wonderland

Love this season especially for the Snowflakes… and wanted to create a winter scene with the dies on hand.

This time took Cheerylynn Snowflakes die and used it on a winter scene. Hope you like it!

Here we go,

Matted Spellbinders curved rectangles on blue and white base cardstocks. The front panel is tore and roughed at its edges. Stamped my new Kaisercraft Woodgrain stamp in White embossing powder and slightly sponged with Vintage photo DI to mimic the frosty look on trees. MS sprig punch is used to added to create the frosty look of leaves on tree trunk.

A small diecut of same die is used to create a mini scene for the sentiment which says “Let it Snow”. Masked the area and sponged with Tumbled glass and Broken China DIs and stamped the sentiment. And on the lower part on the word, “Snow” and around it added Diamond dust twinklets to create a frosty look.

And this is mounted on the front panel and to it added the Memory box Deer Trio diecut (a new addition to my craft stash), which is sponged on edges with vintage photo to give a defined look.
The deer family in kept on the snow which is created on base of the front panel.

And now the CLD snowflakes diecuts are taken, sponged with tumbled glass DI and added on the entire winter wonderland.

Hope you like this attempt.
