Floral card : Amazing Paper Grace + Spellbinders

Hi Crafty pals,

Am here today to share my weekly post for Amazing Paper Grace.

  • Used dies from Spellbinders S5-432 Picot Petite Etched Square dies
  • Colored the edges of th dies using Archival ink and matted the dies and mounted onto the 6.5″ cream square card base.
  • The floral spray is created using Spellbinders S4-995 Cinch and Go V.
  • Added the florals onto the card as shown.
  • Sentiment is added onto a banner and mounted not the card using liquid adhesive.
  • Paper pieced Butterflies are added with few baby pink pearls as accents.
These classic die collections gives such an elegant and dainty look to any card and its a must have ones in crafty stash.

Dahlia Blossoms : Altenew

 Hi Crafty pals,

                                              “Happy World Cardmaking Day”

I managed to make a card for today using the stamped images, which I coloured recently.

Over to the card,

  • Took a watercolor cardstock and stamped Altenew Dahlia Blossoms using Memento Tuxedo black ink.
  • Colored this images using Prima Art Philosophy Watercolors Tropicals half pan set.
  • Fussy cut and splattered white acrylic paint over it liberally.
  • Then took a white cardstcok and sponged partially using Altenew Limestone ink pad with Altenew Sunburst stencil.
  • Stamped the sentiment from the same stampset.
  • Mounted the fussy cut images over the stenciled panel.
  • Matted this focal panel over to a A2 sized Top fold black cardbase.
  • Added enamel dots as accents to finish off the card.

Hellebores & Plant Kindness : Power Poppy

 Hi Crafty peeps,

Am back here with a DT project for Power Poppy using their Hellebores digital stamp set with Plant Kindness digital stamp for the sentiment.

  • Printed the Hellebores floral spray onto Canson Montval watercolor cardstock in a pale pink shade.
  • Attempted Noline coloring using Prima Marketing Watercolors – The classics.
  • Generously splattered white acrylic paints over the fussy cut watercolored floral spray.
  • Took a 4″x 5.25″ watercolor focal panel and with ink smooshing technique, created the background using Zig clean color real brush pens  (Pale blue, pale pink, olive green) and an acetate sheet.
  • Onto the organic background, added the die-cut sentiment strip using liquid adhesives.
  • Foam mounted the watercolored floral spray.
  • Added few clear droplets as accents.
  • Mounted this onto a Cairo cream top fold A2 sized card base.

Amazing Paper Grace+Spellbinders: Floral card

 Hiya Friends,

Am here today for my Weekly Wednesday post for Amazing Paper Grace by Becca Feeken using their newly launched dies Spellbinders Picot Petite Circles (SKU: S5-431)

Flowers are made using Cinch and Go IV and leaves from Candlewick Rosebud dies

This is how the dies look like.

  • Took a cream colored 4″ square card base. Notched the top corners.
  • Matted with pastel shaded Patterned paper.
  • Took second largest die of Picot Petite circle and cut one in cream cardstock and one in pastel mint pattern paper and glued together.
  • Took smaller die and die-cut onto pastel peach patterned paper.
  • Sentiment is stamped in smaller die-cut and matted onto larger die-cut using foam tape.
  • Then this matted onto the 4″square cardbase as shown using liquid adhesive.
  • Handmade flowers and leaves are moulded and placed onto the card as shown.
  • Paper-pieced a floral spray from Patterned paper and added to the cardbase.
  • A string of white pearls are added bordering the sentiment die-cut to create interest.

Hello Lovely l Uniko

 Hiya Crafty peeps,

Am back to my favorite watercoloring with this brand new stampset in my stash. I won in Time out challenge in May month and received this stampset as prize from Uniko, recently.

  • Stamped Hello Lovely stampset from Uniko in Antique Linen distress ink on Arches 300gsm cp watercolor cardstock.
  • Colored using Daniel Smith watercolour dot cards.
  • Fussy cut and generously splashed with white acrylic paints.
  • Took a 4″x 5.25″ white cardstock and partially stencilled with Altenew brown ink using iCraft stencil.
  • Splashed generously with watered down pink and brown paints.
  • Stamped the sentiment from the same stampset.
  • Foam mounted the fussy cut floral spray.
  • Matted this focal panel to Cairo cream top fold A2 sized cardbase.
  • Few clear droplets as accents to finish off the card.

Over time we’ve had lace-inspired designs and have loved the feel of Hemstitching and Candlewicking. The Inspiration behind Picot Petite

If you’ve ever seen tatting, the little loop produced along the edge is called a “picot”.  It’s this little loop that is the basis for the border on all of the Petite Picot shapes.  They are lovely as a backdrop for any other layerings as the little picot peeks out.  It’s just a subtle way to bring in the ways of classic needlework to give texture and dimension to the backdrop of our cards.


Each of our Creative Team members will show you their take on cards made with a classic picot flair.


My Projects For Today


Am happy to introduce Spellbinders S5-433 Picot Petite Oval Etched Dies


I have created a Easel card for this hop. I have used the largest die for the cardbase and smallest one as a stopper. Layered the front panel with the larger and medium die to adorn the card with Handmade flowers. 






Die cut the florals in white cardstock, colored them using Distress ink and spritzed slightly with water to shape them.







To make this tiny basket, took the largest oval die and placed at middle of scoring board (6″). Look for the centre and scored 2 lines on either side. Turned around the die-cut and did the same procedure. Cut at scored lines as shown. Fold it to make basket as shown in the image. Placed an oval die-cut for little interest. This tiny basket can be used to fill with little treats and flowers.

Healing Bouquet : PowerPoppy

 Hi Craftypeeps,

Am delighted to join Power Poppy Bloomies Team for this Digital Release – Freshly Squeezed scent

Healing Bouquet Digital stamp

This digital image is filled with visual delights of Sage, lemon, lotus, lavender and porcelain vine.

Onto my creation!

  • Took watercolored cardstock and printed a portion of Healing Bouquet in noline version.
  • Watercolored using my new Winsor and Newton Watercolors.
  • Bit of Prisma colored pencils as topping to deepen the shadows.
  • Generously splashed the colored image with watered down white acrylic paint.
  • Added the sentiment from Everything Rosier set.
  • Matted this focal panel onto a black A2 sized top fold card base.
  • Few clear droplets as finishing touch.

Sending you Sunshine – Stampendous

Hi Crafty peeps,
Am participating in Kathyrac’s the daily marker coloring challenge. And so Coloring has started in full swing.
Turned up yesterday’s coloring into a card today, adding the background, darkening the shadows some more.
Over to my card!

  • Stamped the Stampendous Sweet Sunflower onto a watercolor paper using Antique Linen DI for Noline coloring.
  • Colored using Zig clean color brush pens and for darkening the shadows used Prisma colored pencils.
  • The bg made using Zig clean color brush pens.
  • Generously splashed with watered down White paint.
  • Sentiment is stamped from Mudra Simply florals using Mudra Mai Jet black ink.
  • Added this watercolored panel to a corrugated panel.
  • Tied a twine and added beads to their ends for those touch of accents.
  • The panel then matted on the A2 sized top fold black card base.

Floral Thank you Card

Hi Crafty peeps,

Colored a floral digital stamp from Make it crafty(retired  company). Started yesterday to color using prisma colored pencils for the last day of Kathyrac’s daily marker coloring challenge.

  • Printed digi from Make it crafty onto a white cardstock.
  • Colored using Prisma colored pencils.
  • Round the edges and trimmed it to the size of 6×4″
  • Matted this to a customized textured green cardbase  of 6.25×4.25″
  • No embellies added so as to bring focus on to the florals and coloring.
