Layered Shabby chic card :)

Hi All,

Today’s card is a layered shabby chic one with those pastel shades of beige, brown, baby pink, mint green, olive green. Hope you like it!

Hope am bitten by shabby bug, offlate making cards with these tones predominantly 🙂

Layering and the card front are diecut from Spellbinder Curved rectangle die and layers are added using the foam tape to give bit dimension to the layers. And these are matted against the kraft CS.

Cheerylynn Designs Tiffany border is attached to the sides of the 3rd layer of the diecut and to the ends a cream beaded trim is attached. Its a RAK from a dear friend Pooja 🙂

Cheerylynn Designs Tropical flourish are added and top of it added heart diecut from a corrugated cardboard and to it, added Picket fence DS and on its sides added Vintage photo DS. The sentiment is added on a heart diecut and centrally placed on this corrugated heart.

Two strips of CLD ivy florish are added under the heart so that it peeks from it.

Always wanted to try different flowers using the CLD dies. And so the Big cabbage rose are made from CLD gardenia strip and those small blooms are made from the calyx of the CLD medium rose die and to it, added few white pollens. Hope you like these trial versions of my flowers 🙂

CLD butterfly is added near the floral cluster and few pearls as accents.

You are Lovely :)

Made a simple card today with combination which i always in love with and used only Cheerylynn dies to make. When it comes to patterned paper use, its hard for me to put scissors on it. Rather am hoarding a whole lot of pps which had been lying in stash for several months now.

Now on to my card,

Took kraft A2 cs from Recollections stack and used for the base of the card. On it, used pp from Homemade memories 12/12 stack and as a focal element placed a diecut from Zephyr paper pad. Stamped sentiment from IBS sweet valentine set using my new Sepia Ranger’s Archival ink. Added few pearls and heart pearls as accents.

Blooms are made using the DCWV pastel cs. Big roses are made using CheeryLynnDesigns gardenia strip and small roses using CLD medium roses, baby breaths are from CLD embellishment die 3, the foliage are made using CLD olive branches, CLD rose leaf strip.

CLD tiffany border strips are kept below the florals and a pink double stich grossgrain ribbon, added few pearls. Hope you like it!

Love is in air…..

Valentine day is nearing and the challenges at very many blog demands Love themed cards 🙂

And so my attempt making a Love themed one with various diecuts and use of dark shades. Hope you like it!!

The red CS front panel is a diecut from my new Spellbinder die – A2 Divine Eloquence and this has been matted on base White and Black CS. And on it Cheerylynn French pastry doily in black is kept as a base for the white caged birds diecut.

Both leaves and flowers are sponged and shaped. The Memory box die hanging hearts are also my new addition to my craft stash, to which added pearls hearts at centre.

Winter Whites :)

First post in this new year 2015!!

Like last year, this year too i have started my first post on WOW card (white on white). Am a big fan of WOW cards. Earlier done 4 Wow cards and you can check here .

This card done entirely using Cheerylynn dies only 🙂

CLD’s Mexican tile die is used for the front panel and for me every tile look like a snowflake 🙂 .Its matted against a front and base panel using foam tape for the dimensional look. White Thai tissue paper is used for the central portion and the texture of it, mimics snowy feel and on it added my new CLD Snowflakes die, which has very many sizes and patterns of the snowflakes. At one go, you can have lots of snowflake diecuts 🙂 IBS sentiment is stamped using versamark and silver embossed.

Diagonally at corners, the flower clusters are made using CLD gardenia die, one of my ever favorite for making roses and this time i used diamond dust glitter for that frosty look on flowers.
The Flaky flowers are made using CLD embellishment die and the CLD build flower-2 leaves are being used along  with CLD ivy flourish die, CLD tropical flourish die.

Few more shots

Pearls of various sizes used as centres in snowflakes and flowers.

Hope you like it!!

Vintage card – Just for U :)

Its my second time try at Vintage style. Earlier card can be seen here. Love this style for the dark tones of brown, beige, tans, black hues and still creating magic.

This is the last card for this year 2014 and also DT inspiration card for the Cardabilities challenge.

Felt like IBS Vintage floral PP is so apt for this theme and so matted this against the black CS. To achieve the look, pp is roughed, rolled at edges using scissors, distressed with vintage photo DI and to give a bit more darker shade, distressed pp at various places and stamped randomly with IBS script stamp from Friends forever stamp set using same DI. Am in love with the effect it has created on bg.

Used Doily die and cut the doilies of various sizes in brown CS. And on it, arranged the floral using Joycrafts die. This time, tried a different flower other than my usual flower style. Hope you like it!

Closer shot of flowers

For stamens, used CLD embellishment dies and cut in black CS. The rose strips are diecut in white and distressed with Vintage photo DI and the florishes of black and white to balance the flowers.
Sentiment is stamped in oval scallop diecut and distressed with DI.

Thats all from me 🙂

Wishing all my readers, blogger-pals, a very very Happy and Wonderful New Year 2015. May your days ahead be more joyous and lovely 🙂

Thanks so much for the support and lovely comments, which is the only source of driving force for me.
